Positive Signs of Bungie’s Independence Already Spotted in Destiny 2

Bungie has separated from Activision and has got the rights to Destiny. This news was taken very positively by the fans and we are already seeing signs of Bungie’s independence in Destiny 2 as the developer has already begun its efforts to make the game better.

Matchmaking in competitive modes of the game has always been a concern for players but now Bungie is working on making things better. The changes will be implemented today and will impact the gameplay.

The gist of the matter is that players will now be matched up against enemies that are ranked closer to them. This will make the game much more interesting. Previously the matchmaking was all over the place and players would find themselves matched up against players with much more experience and higher rank.

Players that did not like the PVP aspect of the game might be interested in coming back to the PVP modes. PVE is a major aspect of the game but PVP is going to get better once these changes are implemented.

Bungie updated their official blog in order to make this information known to the public and the following is what the developers had to say regarding the matter:

While the imbalanced match can still happen, we believe this change will reduce the number of occurrences dramatically. Players may experience longer matchmaking times as we will try to ensure a good Glory rank match before opening up the search criteria. Thank you so much for your feedback, and please keep it coming. We’re always improving the game and your feedback helps steer the conversation.

While we do not know anything for sure, Bungie has announced that there will be new content coming soon. This content could be part of Destiny 2 or we could get a new game entirely. That is something that we will have to wait and see.

The new Destiny 2 puzzle was gone unsolved for a while Bungie has decided to let players have access to the content locked behind the puzzle even if the puzzle is unsolved. The new plot twist also hints at additional content coming to the game. It is also possible that this plot will be continued in the new game.

Let us know what you think about the PVP matchmaking changes coming to Destiny 2 and whether or not you think this could make the PVP part of the game any better.
