The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield Won’t Be At E3 2019

Bethesda confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield are in the works at E3 last year and we got to see some short teasers. Todd Howards mentioned that wanted to confirm that these games are in development because of the number of people that have been asking about these upcoming titles.

But these games are not coming out soon and that is why you should not expect to see them at E3 2019. Todd Howard confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield will not be at E3 2019 and the following is what he had to say in this regard:

Before everyone asks, please be patient. It’s going to be a long time. It’s not something we’re going to be talking about at E3, either of those games, this year. And so patience, please, but you know, given the anniversary, we did want to give everybody a taste.

It is possible that both these games are intended for the next-generation consoles. If that is the case then these games will not release before 2020. We might hear more about these games in early 2020 but until then fans will have to be patient.

Keeping in mind the kind of response Fallout 76 got, I would not be surprised if Bethesda wants to take its time in order to get things right. Not to mention how old the game engine is and that it needs to be updated or switched.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines talked about why these games were confirmed so early. The following is what the had to say in this regard:

Would it have been better if it was some years from now and we just go, ‘Surprise, we’re making a game called Starfield, and it’s out X months later?’ Yeah. For sure. But at the same time, there is also value in every day between there people aren’t freaking out about us making Fallout 76 as an online-only game as a service and this is all they’re ever making.

Let us know what you think about The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield not being there at E3 2019 and whether or not you are interested in playing these games.
