Cyberpunk 2077 Development as Messy as Anthem Says Dev

Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games right now and the game has been in development for a couple of years. An anonymous developer has now provided insight regarding the development and of the game and has compared it to Anthem in terms of messy development.

The developer mentioned that the development of Cyberpunk 2077 has been rocky and is like how Anthem’s was. Anthem is not a great game to be compared to and has done poorly since it released and has disappointed fans around the world that were looking forward to playing the game. This might not be a good sign for Cyberpunk 2077.

Then again working in a new IP can be difficult even for CDPR, who made The Witcher series. The following is what the developer had to say regarding the matter.

I’ve felt that there are hundreds of parallels that could be drawn between the story of the rocky development of Anthem and the story of the rocky and even-more-rocky-to-become development of Cyberpunk 2077. At times, I’ve felt I could just replace the studio name and the game title, and it would all look so similar, almost identical.

According to the developer, CDPR has been struggling financially but CD Projekt Red boss Marcin Iwinski denied that all together in a recent statement. He mentioned that the studio has a large fund for the game. From what we have seen so far, it looks like CDPR has spent a lot of money on the development of Cyberpunk 2077. This is a very ambitious game and I am sure that everyone is looking forward to learning more about it.

Last year at E3 2018, we saw a trailer of the game and you can expect to learn more at E3 2019 during the Microsoft conference. With Sony not being at the event, it is up to Microsoft to represent gaming at the expo this year.

Let us know what you think about Cyberpunk 2077 and whether or not you are interested in playing the game when it comes out.
