3 Games To Play On Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day can be a lonely day, or a great day, depending on your circumstances. Whatever you’re doing on Valentine’s Day, we’ve got three games with events that are built for focusing on games for the day, whether that’s with someone else or alone.

Destiny 2 Crimson Days

Destiny 2’s annual Valentine’s Day event is back, and it’s better than ever. There’s new loot to collect and earn, Bounties to progress through, and a bow called The Vow to earn. It’s also one of the best weapons in the game. The event comes with its own game mode, Crimson Doubles. In each match, which has matchmaking for solo players, pairs of teams compete for the most kills. There are additional mechanics that reward players for sticking by their teammate, and punish them for moving too far away, acting like a lone wolf. If you’re a Destiny 2 player already, this is a great excuse to get some time in with it on Valentine’s Day, and if not it’s just a great event.

Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day

For Broken Hearts Day Borderlands 3 players can find enemies with special floating hearts above their heads. Shooting these will have a number of different effects on players, from boosting the team, to dropping new loot, or even making an ally of that enemy. There are five unique rewards to be earned from the event, meaning that it’s well worth getting involved just for the weekend so that you can earn the exclusive loot. The event also boosts the game’s level cap from 50 to 53, giving every player a little more to work towards, and a great reason to play.

Apex Legends Valentine’s Day Rendezvous

Valentine’s Day Rendezvous brings back Duos mode for a limited time in Apex Legends. The game mode puts players into teams of two instead of three, making for far more intense matches between close-knit pairs of Legends. There are also new cosmetic items to earn, as well as a boost to the available XP to earn throughout the event’s duration. With Apex Legends Season 4 well under way, this is a really good chance to get into the game early on, and catch up on all of that XP you might have missed out on.
