Earlier this week, Sony revealed not just one, but two brand new release dates for upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusives. The first of these is The Last Of Us Part 2, which was delayed indefinitely earlier in the year. The game will now be launching on June 19, which is a little under two months away. This gives you plenty of time to go out and play The Last Of Us just one more time before the sequel arrives.
Of course, the second release date is also definitely worth mentioning. This is for Ghost of Tsushima, a colossal upcoming game from Sucker Punch, developers of the Infamous games. Ghost of Tsushima is going to launch on July 17, just one day more than one month after The Last Of Us Part 2.
If, like me, you’re planning on playing both of these games, you’ll need to get through The Last Of Us Part 2 pretty damn quickly. Considering how long the first game was, it’s probably going to take a couple of days of solid playing to get through.
On a slightly sadder note, there have been a slew of leaks for the story of The Last Of Us Part 2. This is a big blow to both developer Naughty Dog, and the people there who have worked so hard to get this game finished. It’s going to be hard to avoid these spoilers in the lead up to the game’s release, mostly because we’re all so excited about seeing where the story goes. However, I’d wager that getting the story from the end product will be way better that going through all of the leaked data now.
We also have to remember that there’s an as of yet unannounced multiplayer The Last Of Us Part 2 experience which will also be hitting PlayStation 4 soon. We don’t know exactly when this second game is going to launch, but I’m almost as excited about it as I am about the main game. June and July are going to be big for PlayStation 4 fans, so stay away from those spoilers and think about the payoff at the end.
We’re attempting to get as much good news in front of your eyes as possible in these troubled timed. If you liked this look at some upcoming release dates, check out all of our good news here.
