Fallout 76 season 4 will launch on April 27, and it’s bringing a tonne of new content to the game. For me, this is the perfect time to jump back in, since I’ve been absent from the game from about the time seasons actually started. I haven’t had time to play it, but now I want to, because this year’s roadmap has got me excited for the things to come. This season in particular is like a fresh new beginning for the game. It gives players a whole new season pass to work through, and it’s packed with all kinds of content to explore over the course of the season. That’s why I’m excited about it.
The crux of this update is the launch of the Locked and Loaded update. There’s a lot of new quality of life stuff coming with this update, so it’ll be nice to experience an entirely new side of the game. It’s also the point where Daily Expeditions get an expansion, and that’s going to make playing this game every day so much easier. This season will also eventually see the conclusion to the Broken Steel storyline added to the game. this isn’t something I’ve explored in too much depth, but I want to. From what I’ve heard, it feels like half a storyline at the moment, so I’d like to jump in with all the content there, ready to go.
Moreover, I just want to join in with the game now that it’s a lot more community-friendly. It seemed like everyone was out for themselves the last time I was playing, a year or so ago. Bethesda has done a lot of work to bring the focus of working together to the forefront. I admire that because Fallout isn’t a series that necessarily gels well with that sort of gameplay.
Finally, I want a season pass to work through and earn everything in. Fallout 76 has enough rewarding activities that I won’t get bored when pursuing progress. I just want to be able to sit down and do whatever I want for a few hours and get something good out of it as a result. IO can’t wait to start playing at the end of the month.
