Nintendo Should Announce Animal Crossing: New Horizons DLC Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Nintendo is going to stream everything it has for E3 2021. We’re getting a huge presentation covering all the big games coming to Switch this year, plus a three-hour-long stream of gameplay from those games and more. I can’t wait to see it, but I also believe that it needs to be way more special than anything else Nintendo has shown before. This is the E3 that matters most right now, and if there isn’t enough good stuff, it’ll all be for nothing. I think we need some DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and I’ve got just the idea for what shape it can take.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game about building your very own island getaway. You do this by establishing the island, building it how you like it, and then invite Villagers to come and stay. The thing is, you can only have a limited number of Villagers, and once they’re settled, there’s nothing much more to do with them. That’s why I think we should get a holiday hotel DLC for the game. This would see players take on the task of setting up a hotel, building it, organising the interiors, and then opening it up for Villagers to come and stay.

The biggest draw of this game by far is the Villagers. Collecting them, having various combinations, it’s all brilliant. If you have a hotel, you can constantly have new Villagers arriving over the course of a set schedule. Some could be there for a week, month, or maybe just a day. It all depends on how rare they are to see. Players could be given the task of setting up certain things to attract the right kind of Villagers for events, times of year, and any number of other things. It would give you a reason to play every single day with a true purpose.

I love Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a relaxing game to play and remove all my stress. The thing is, I love the idea of this hotel DLC more. Let’s have something to work on with our island that compliments the main game and gives players a renewed purpose.
