Bayonetta 3 Is Looking Great!

During last week’s Nintendo Direct, we got a tonne of announcements and trailers. The one thing that I’m excited about more than anything else is Bayonetta 3. This is a game that I’ve been waiting for ever since it was announced in 2017. It’s been in development for so long that I have an almost unrealistic expectation of what it has to be, but I’m also very aware that I need to reign in my ideas, because it sounds like there have been some issues behind the scenes. Still, the game is looking great, and I’m ready for the next chapter in the wild Bayonetta adventure.

The gameplay trailer we got isn’t that revealing in terms of story or anything else, but it does show off some uncompromised Bayonetta gameplay. Bayonetta is back exactly as she was before, destroying giant enemies with little more than her hair, magic, and some guns. More than anything, the music is what I’m pleased with. It always gave the games such a unique identity, and without it, Bayonetta 3 would be so much less. Hopefully, that’s something that’s true of every other element in the game. To be honest though, I’d just settle for the music and the epic scenery.

OF course, Bayonetta 3 is packing much more than great music though. The witch is here to ruin some lives, and those lives are attached to colossal monsters that threaten the world as well know it. I remember playing the first game through and enjoying the progressively increasing size of the bosses as the game came to its conclusion. In Bayonetta 3, I want that to be taken to the next level. We’ve already seen the giant hair demon Bayonetta uses fighting a huge dragon of some kind. Next, I think we need to see a galaxy-sized monster battling with something the size of a few galaxies combined. That seems to be where the games are heading.

PlatinumGames has the vision required to make Bayonetta 3 the title it needs to be. Epic battles and constant battering gives players the feeling of power that no other title can match. I can’t wait to play this third entry next year.
