Are Festivals In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Worth It?

Assassins Creed

Currently, you can enjoy the latest festival event in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for free. There have been a few of these since the game launched last year. they’re interesting time-limited events that give you some new cosmetics to earn, a couple of new activities in the game, and present some new information on the time period. I love in-game events, as you probably know if you read this site a lot, so I always get into these festivals. Even if I’m playing for the same recycled cosmetics, I always make sure I play just so I have all of the time-limited stuff before it’s gone. The thing is, I’m slowly starting to realise that these are sort of pointless, and kind of don’t see the point for players who aren’t super dedicated.

If you’re a huge Assassin’s Creed fan, then of course you’re playing these festivals. The whole goal of Assassin’s Creed games has always been to see everything and do everything. That’s how you unlock the best gear, weapons, and equipment, at least that’s how it was. Festivals are another way to earn new gear. In the past, I’ve fully upgraded festival-exclusive gear and it’s been extremely useful and has the added bonus of looking completely bonkers.

If you’re not a huge Assassin’s Creed fan though, and have played Valhalla because it seemed like fun, then this probably isn’t for you. The festival doesn’t add a lot of content, and you have to repeat a lot of it if you want to collect everything. It’s pretty much a waste of time unless you’re super dedicated and have that drive to push you through the grind. If you don’t there’s enough in the rest of the game to keep you exploring for hundreds of hours. There’s no point in getting into the festival if you really don’t have the energy.

I feel a little sad for the dedicated fans that there isn’t more to each festival, but the fact that we get them at all is nice. I’d rather have the chance to explore new cosmetics and take part in these festivals a few times a year because I want to explore everything in the Assassin’s Creed universe.
