Heardle 60s

Heardle 60s takes you right back amongst the psychedelica and hedonism of the Swinging Sixties – in musical trivia form, that is!

An audiophile’s dream, Heardle is a spinoff from the Wordle craze that seemed to sweep the post-pandemic world. Are you a bigger fan of classic music than wordplay? Heardle 60s might well be for you. Building on that popular ‘Mastermind’-style gameplay, the game challenges you to name the ’60s song based on hearing a tiny snippet of its intro.

If that’s all the information you need to get going, click the Play button above. Read on to find out more about Heardle 60’s history, rules and how to play.

In short, players have limited (six) shots at correctly naming the song in question. It could be one of the more obvious tracks of the decades (think The Beatles), or something altogether lesser known. To help you narrow down your selection, type the artist or the start of the track name in the answer field, which will connect to Soundcloud and provide a helpful list of ‘autocorrect’-style options.

If you’re stumped, The Skip button will pass your turn and play an extra second of the song’s introduction – but it’ll count against your total score later on.
