What would MachineGames’ Indiana Jones and the Great Circle be without head-scratching puzzles? I mean, Indy is the greatest archeologist/ journalist of our time, right? Well, during the very beginning of Indy’s in-game journey takes him directly to Rome. More specifically, the Vatican. Here, he’ll come across a puzzle called the House of God while trying to locate different Vatican Relics. It’s an incredibly easy puzzle, but sometimes, the easiest ones tend to be the ones we spend the most time on.
Solving The House of God Puzzle in The Great Circle
To solve the puzzle, you have to find it first. Start off by walking to the south end of the Belvedere Courtyard until you come across the fascist’s stage. When you walk behind it, you’ll find a scaffolding that can be climbed using Indy’s whip. once you reach the very top, you can either turn left to zipline back down into the courtyard or right to enter a building. Enter the building to find the puzzle. On top of it will be a note talking about how to clean the statue before you, prompting Indy to say that the statue must be some kind of puzzle.
As I explained before, the puzzle is incredibly simple. Follow these instructions paired with detailed images to get it done and out of the way!
- Using the lever at the front of the statue, pull it to the left to reveal a medal in a secret compartment on the left side of the statue.
- Using the same lever, pull it to the right to reveal an imprint for you to place the medal in.
- A new compartment will open on the same side as the one that had the medal in it. However, this time, a golden chalice will be inside for you to pick up.
- Lastly, put the golden chalice in the space at the very center of the statue, right above the lever. This will then unlock a secret door with a Vaitan Relics map inside.
For me, this was the very first of the Vatican Relic maps I found, starting the adventure.
