Castlevania Belmont’s Curse Library Puzzle: All Solutions

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

To solve the Library puzzle in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, you need to enter the Planetarium and adjust large rotating astronomical globes decorated with a Man, Woman, and Skeleton. This guide will provide you with a complete list of all Library puzzle solutions in the game.

The Man Globe Solution

Planetarium

You must bounce on exactly four specific planets in the correct sequence for a new planet to appear at the top of the globe, which lets you reach higher platforms, new rooms, rewards, and ultimately the path to the Carmilla boss. Here’s how to approach the first solution:

  1. You will find the clue to the first puzzle in the Astronomer’s Office near the Planetarium.
  2. Examine the Star Chart on a desk, which shows a constellation pattern of connected points.
  3. This will help you unlock a clue about The Occultist.
  4. Then, bounce across the four lower points from left to right, which are typically the bottom row of planets around the globe.

As soon as you activate them, a new bounce point will appear on top, allowing you to continue upward and across the Planetarium. Also, don’t worry if you hit the wrong planet, as in that case, it usually resets the sequence, so you can start over again.

Woman & Skeleton Solutions

Skeleton

After the first Man globe, you have to continue going right to the Woman globe. There, you need to drop to the lower floor and enter a secret passage near the Salon area to find another Star Chart clue. Here’s what this clue means for the solution and correct order of planets to jump on:

  1. Middle left;
  2. Upper left;
  3. Lower right;
  4. Middle right.

Once again, this will unlock the elevated platform for the final Skeleton globe, which you can solve by doing the following:

  1. Go ahead and find the clue on the Natural Philosophy Shelves, which is northwest of the Planetarium.
  2. Look out the window, and you’ll see the stars outside that form the exact constellation pattern you need for this last puzzle.
  3. Now you will know in which sequence to bounce.
  4. The correct order is middle left, upper right, middle right, and lower right.

When you solve this final puzzle, you will fully open the vertical path through the Planetarium and Observation Tower toward the Carmilla boss fight. Defeating Carmilla will award you with The Occultist Arcana and the Blood Spikes spell. You can also pick up Brauner’s Paintbrush afterward, which is a key for later progression into Notre-Dame.
