The Facemaker’s Boutique in BG3 is important to find for players. Many of the characters are indeed important for that matter. However, those who wish to be able to dress even flashier in the game need him. But, things aren’t so simple and players need to find him efficiently as he is in danger.

In the guide we have curated below, we assist players in locating the Facemaker’s Boutique while on their journey in Baldur’s Gate 3. Additionally, we also detail as to why the NPC has to be saved from harm. That way, players do not need to worry about the character dying and losing access to interactions with him.

Where to Find the Facemaker’s Boutique in BG3

The Facemaker’s Boutique is located in Lower City in Baldur’s Gate 3, on the western side of the area. It is immediately south of the Baldur’s Gate waypoint, for players looking for a reference point. The character in question to look for is named Figaro, this is the Facemaker. The NPC offers players a variety of cosmetic wares to indulge in.

Figaro offers items like new clothing for the character to wear. Additionally, various dyes can also be purchased from him. However, players do not simply get access to the inventory he offers. There is something that must be done to ensure he lives. If he does not, players will not be able to shop at his location. Below, the steps to a quest involving Figaro can be found. Players should note that the quest to save Figaro cannot be done until Act 3 of the game.

How to Save The Facemaker in BG3

Players save Figaro, the Facemaker during the quest called “Investigate the Murders” in Baldur’s Gate 3. The quest is a bit lengthy. However, one of the steps involves players having to warn different characters that they are on a killer’s list. One of these characters just happens to be Figaro Pennygood, the Facemaker. The different steps to this quest leading to Figaro can be found below:

  1. Head to the Open Hand Temple to learn about murders in the city.
  2. Investigate Duke Stelmane’s murder at the Elfsong Tavern.
  3. Use Perception, Investigation, or Insight to convince the NPC Devella that you can help look for the murderer.
  4. Devella will give you the Map of Murder.
  5. Speak to Ffion Goldgrind in Fraygo’s Flophouse to reveal that the killer is Dolor.
  6. Loot the wardrobe at the top of Fraygo’s Flophouse to receive the Bloodstained Parchment that reveals a list of victims to be.
  7. Warn Chef Roveer at Elfsong Tavern, Nesha Leesha at the Blushing Mermaid, and Cora Highberry at the wine festival, southeast of Elfsong Tavern.
  8. Head to the Facemaker’s Boutique, and proceed to the back room.
  9. Announce yourself and you will fight Dolor. Beating him saves Figaro, he will open his store for you to purchase items from.
  10. Loot Dolor’s body to find where Bhaalist cult he was trying to appease, is located.
  11. A passphrase is needed to enter Candulhallow’s Tombstones, by looting Dolor, you automatically receive it.
  12. Infiltrate the Murder Tribunal and choose whether to kill Valeria or Sarevok.

Investigate the Murders is a long quest and players save the Facemaker quite a ways into it. However, by doing so, it offers the opportunity to change the appearance of what you wear.
