Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has today revealed the official launch trailer for the reboot of Mad Max, their Avalanche Studios-developed open-world, third-person action game, which is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
In the 18-rated title, players assume the role of Max, the lone warrior who must fight to stay alive by engaging in brutal hand-to-hand and gunplay combat, as well as vehicular warfare, against a number of factions who are fighting for domination and survival in this gritty, post-apocalyptic open-world of The Wasteland.
The game promises “deep car customisation”, which allows players to adjust their vehicles’ attributes and select from a vast array of mobile weaponry to prepare for battle.
In a press release, Peter Wyse, vice president of production and development at Warner Bros., said:
“Mad Max is an iconic character, recently re-introduced to the world by the latest film, and now we’re introducing a new way for fans and gamers to experience the adventure-filled Wasteland universe in which he lives. Avalanche Studios has created an expansive, beautiful open world environment that comes to life with a brand new story for Mad Max.”
