Telltale Games are to release a remastered version of their Back to the Future series in honour of the film franchise’s 30th anniversary, it has been confirmed today.
As we reported last month, gaming rental service GameFly leaked the news that the episodic adventure game – originally released in 2010 – would make its way onto PS4 and Xbox One later in 2015. Now, courtesy of a recent interview with the hit film’s co-creator Bob Gale, a few new details about the remastered title have been unveiled.
As expected, the 30th Anniversary Edition game will feature ‘enhanced graphics’ and be available for PS4 and Xbox One (more platforms to be confirmed). In more surprising news, Gale confirmed that original film actor Thomas F. Wilson has signed up to the project and returned to the studio to reprise his role as the various ‘Biff’ characters featured in the game, replacing Telltale veteran Kid Beyond.
Back to the Future: The Game is expected to release on October 13, although the date hasn’t been officially confirmed as of yet.
