There’s s no gift in the season of giving quite like letting gamers garotte people in a Santa Clause outfit. In a bid to support the World Cancer Research Fund, Io-Interactive is releasing a free, holiday-themed mission to Hitman players on December 13 across all platforms.
Titled ‘Holiday Hoarders’, the mission returns players to the first episode’s Paris palace, featuring a lot more Christmas trees, ornaments and presents this time. The objective? Eliminate a couple of present-stealing grinches who are out to ruin the Christmas spirit. There are even gifts scattered around the level to help make the job a bit easier.
In return for the free content, Io-Interactive is kindly asking players to donate to the World Cancer Research Fund. Players can donate to the cause over here.
“Cancer is something which affects everyone in one way or another at some point in their lives and we at IOI wanted to do something to help raise money for cancer research,” said Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive, in a press statement.
The mission will release simultaneously on all platforms next week, including Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
