Super Mario Run releases for iOS devices today, and Nintendo has already made its first DLC playable character available – free of charge.
In order to play as franchise veteran Toad, who has the ability to run faster than the likes of Mario, Luigi and Yoshi, users must create and log in to a My Nintendo account before redeeming the item.
Other in-game rewards are available to purchase with My Nintendo platinum points, including coins, Toad Rally tickets and a Gold Mario statue.
