The location of the criminal leader depends on where you start off in the game and this is important. Mainly because the leader will spawn at the closest town marketplace, so you don’t have to trek across the map to take him out. Following the process below will help to accomplish your first unique assassination mission for Handshake:
- Acquire the mission from Handshake at Base Camp.
- Head to the town marketplace closest to the town you spawned near. It can be at any of the following three spots: Crimson Shield (141,162), Lamang (201,162), or Mithras (171,119).
- Upon arriving, the criminal leader will noticeably not be present and must be lured out.
- To lure out the target, kill a few NPC soldiers in the area. The foes are loyal to him and are the only way to bring him out.
- After killing some troops, the criminal leader will appear. Players should note that the target is wearing a red Beret on his head.
- Once the target is killed players can head to the nearest LZ and exfil back to the Base Camp.
Because the area is populated with lots of enemies, players need to be prepared. Not only is it best to stock up on weapons and ammo, but also take lots of healing items. Players need to hold out against many enemies before the target appears, so you have to try and stay alive until you can take him out. Furthermore, don’t forget to loot the target after you kill him to get some extra rewards as well.
First Hit Rewards in Gray Zone Warfare
Completing First Hit in Gray Zone Warfare gives players various cosmetics, an AKM, money, and more to take with them. However, looting the body of the target is what gives the most amount of rewards. Upon assassinating the target, loot him to get:
- Red Beret
- Lennon Sunglasses
- x1 AKM with attachments equipped
However, players will get more rewards upon turning in the completed mission to Handshake, the NPC vendor who provides the mission. Upon interacting with the character, the player will receive these items:
- 1x EXFIL Helmet
- $4,500
- 400 EXP
- 100 Reputation for Handshake
The EXFIL Helmet is great for mercs who want to suit their role as a soldier. First Hit gives players a couple of headwear pieces to use.
