Every expansion of Final Fantasy XIV has introduced new Allied Society Quests, which see the Warrior of Light helping different species to develop and survive. Patch 7.25 sees the addition of the Mamool Ja Allied Society, with quests for gathering classes to complete.
Unfortunately, if you’re not a serial side-quest completer, then you’re going to have a bit of a hard time unlocking the Allied Society. Two separate quest lines must be completed before you can even think about unlocking the actual content you’re looking for.
Don’t worry, I can talk you through it.
Mamool Ja Allied Society pre-requisites
If you’ve headed directly for Yak T’el to unlock the Allied Society and begin questing, but you can’t find the quest you need, don’t worry, you’re not alone. You’ll need to complete a list of other side quests within Y’ak Tel, then you’ll be able to unlock the Allied Society.
There are a total of nine quests to complete, split across the two areas of Y’ak Tel:
Iq Br’aax (North)
There are four quests to complete in Iq Br’aax, all of which are picked up from Ty’at Roh at the following locations:
- Aiming High (X:13.3, Y:13.4)
- Hunting for the Family (X:12.3, Y:11.9)
- A Hunter’s Dream (X:11.3, Y:14.4)
- The Trial Commences (X:30.9, Y:14.9)
Mamook (South)
There are four quests to complete in Mamook, split between two NPCs (Shiidil Ja and Gotoll Ja) in the following locations:
- Lost and Powerless (X:32.0, Y:31.3)
- Remembering a Dream (X:31.7, Y:31.0)
- Budding Promise (X:34.7, Y:32.6)
- Skill of a Veteran (X:34.7, Y:32.6)
Once you’ve completed the eight quests listed above, a new joint quest between the two halves of Y’ak Tel will become available called “One Forest”. To pick this up, talk to Gotoll Ja in Mamook (X:34.7, Y:32.6). Completing this quest will unlock the quest that will grant you access to the Mamool Ja Allied Society quests.
How to unlock Mamool Ja Allied Society in FFXIV
After you’ve gone through the rigmarole of completing the above quests, actually unlocking the latest Allied Society is pretty easy as long as you’ve met the following additional requirements:
- Reach level 90 with a Disciple of the Land (Gathering) class
- Complete the level 100 MSQ quest “Dawntrail”
Then, just head to Mamook in Y’ak Tel and talk to Gotoll Ja (X:35.6, Y:32.1) to pick up the quest “Cultivating Hope” to unlock the Mamool Ja Allied Society.
