The popular dinosaur survival game ARK: Survival Evolved is coming to PS4 on December 6. The release will be in the form of an exclusive package, dubbed ARK: Survivor’s Pack, that includes the ARK: Scorched Earth DLC along with the base game. The release will be bundled at a price of $54.99.
Additionally, PS4 players will receive exclusive content from the DLC, in the form of a Bionic Giganotosaurus skin, as well as a Manticore armor set.
For those unfamiliar, ARK: Survival Evolved is a survival game that transports players back into the realm of dinosaurs, where taming, crafting, building, discovery, harvesting, and tribe alliances are all crucial in order to survive the perilous wasteland that the world holds. With five distinct realms to conquer on the island, Jungle, Snow, Swamp, Redwood, and Desert, the game proves to be a challenge of survival.
The Scorched Earth DLC builds on the same gameplay model, but presents a different set of challenges to players. Scorched Earth is set in a harsh desert environment that forces players to adapt to the hostile desert conditions across the biome’s seven different areas. There are new items to craft, new creatures, including dragons, to tame, and now players can travel pack to the Island with their newfound knowledge and loot to expand back home.
